Creating and optimize an evidence-based clinical pathway for eating disorders in an Irish Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, as part of a Learning Health System.

We will host an intensive workshop focusing on eating disorders, aiming to comprehensively map the current patient management process, from referral to discharge. Using Lean Six Sigma methodology, we will identify variations and inefficiencies within the pathway to reduce waiting times and accelerate recovery. The workshop will bring together clinical experts from Ireland and abroad, CAMHS staff, young people, and parents to collaboratively contribute to the project. The outcome will be a documented clinical pathway that aligns with international best practices and is designed to sustainably and systematically minimize waiting lists. This initiative will form part of a broader project to map all major CAMHS clinical pathways.
